I have been suffering for cystic acne for quite some years now. Apart from taking care of my dietary choices, I have been extremely cautious with the makeup/skin care products I apply on my face. Recently, I found this holy grail of a product, of which I am sharing my honest review. Texture and Ingredients of the product

This clarifying solution is transparent in color. Since it’s a gel, it has a slightly thick viscous type form. Like it’s not a runny liquid, which makes it easy to apply. It has a very mild fragrance which I find quite pleasant.

98% ingredients of Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion are from natural origin. This lotion is Vegan, it is formulated products without animal derivatives. The key ingredients include Salicylic acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice and Witch Hazel.

For a long time I had been looking for a skin care product with Salicylic acid and Witch Hazel combination. Both these ingredients are known for their antibacterial and purifying properties. Aloe leaf juice is known for its soothing effects. So when I was reading about this product, I found the ingredients quite attractive.

Packaging and Quantity of Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion

Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion comes in a 5 fl. oz. or 150 ml bottle. As you can see, I have been using it for 2 months now but very little quantity is consumed. So I think its safe to say that a little goes a long way.

The bottle is quite sturdy. Since it is not a glass bottle, hence no fear of breakage in case it is dropped. The cap is also quite secure. Thus no chances of leakage of liquid from the cap.

The bottle is recyclable, and made from recycled plastic; as claimed by the company. I think its a good environment friendly packaging.

Method and Duration of Use

The directions on the bottle say to apply it to a cleansed face twice a day with the help of a cotton pad. However, I pour about 2 drops in my palm and apply them to my face with fingers. Not gonna lie, but I feel instant freshness as I apply it on my face. May be its the fresh mild fragrance more than the actual feel of the product on the skin?! 😉

I bought this clarifying lotion about 2 months ago. Ever since then, I have been using it every morning and evening.

What I love about Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion

Honestly, ever since I have started using this lotion, my skin feels calm. There is no redness which usually occurs on my cystic acne prone skin once I start using a new skin care product. I can actually feel my skin to be “less bumpy” than usual. (I think people suffering from cystic acne would understand what I am referring to!). Of course the previous scars are there on the skin, but there have been no new ones in the last 2 months. (touch wood) and I think that’s what a person with cystic acne would consider an early Christmas gift! 🙂

The product says that it reduces imperfections and soothes skin texture. I can already attest to its soothing claim. The bottle says that it will not dry your skin. This I also agree with, as the lotion has never dried my skin out even though I started using it during autumn.

I have not made any changes to my skin care regime as I started using this lotion. No other new products were introduced in the regime either. In the mornings, I wash my face, after that I apply this lotion. And then I go about applying the day cream and face powder like I always do in the mornings. At night, after double cleansing my face, I apply it and then apply my night cream.

Though I am not a medical practitioner nor any dietitian, I can still share my honest review that I find this product working for my skin. I know cystic acne can be caused by a lot factors such as diet, hormones, lack of sleep, etc; however, these factors are pretty much constant for me in the last 2 months. The only introduction to my lifestyle was this product and it has been working wonders for me. I understand it might not work like magic for every person with every skin type / skin problem, but I am just sharing my honest review here.
