I bought this clarifying lotion about 4 months ago. Ever since then, I have been using it every evening, sometimes I apply it in the mornings as well. 

My regime of application is as follows: First I cleanse my face (double cleanse in the evening, single cleanse with face wash in the morning), then I apply Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance EXPERT Lotion. Some times I would be a very skin care aficionado and apply another acne calming lotion Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion (read the detailed review of yves rocher sebo vegetal lotion) before I apply any acne treatment if I'm breaking out etc. Followed by the sunscreen if it's day time or serum if it's night time.

The directions on the bottle say to dispense the product into your hands, add water and rub until a light leather forms. Massage into wet skin in circular motions, applying more or less pressure to affect the level of exfoliation. Rinse well with warm water after use. Use once daily and don't use too hot water as this can dry out your skin. It further warns to not use it if your skin is broken or irritated.

I follow the exact same method as it is advised on the bottle. I just dispense a pea sized amount on my finger tip, leather it up and massage my face in circular motions (anti-clock wise). After I rinse it with water, my skin feels smooth and clean, without any dry feeling to it.

I have been using it for over a month now. I don't use it daily (although it's safe to use it daily as suggested on the bottle), but I use it every alternate day, preferably at night time after I have double cleansed my face.

This shampoo is very light in color. Since it’s a gel type consistency, it has a slightly thick viscous type form. Like it’s not a runny liquid, which makes it easy to apply. It has a very mild fragrance which I find quite pleasant.

Rinse and then repeat if necessary (for example if I have applied oil or any hair mask prior to washing the hair, then I need a double rinse. Otherwise I just use the shampoo once). 

I bought this shampoo about 2 months ago. Ever since then, I have been using it every alternate day almost. 

What I love about Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Shampoo 

The Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Shampoo claims to specifically serve the needs of dull hair. It is enriched with Concentrated Gloss Elixir to envelop every single hair with a lightweight, smoothing shine net for long-lasting gloss. 

I find this to be a great regular use shampoo. It does leave the hair soft and manageable after every use. I won't say that my hair give off sparkling light after washing them with this shampoo (lol), but they do have a noticeable healthy look to them.

Another thing that I love about this shampoo is that after washing my hair with Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Shampoo, I don't really need to apply the conditioner. Every time my hair come out very soft and tangle-free post shampooing. (I just use the conditioner on my self-care-sundays #LazyGirlHacks :P ).

Now I do understand that it might not work like magic for someone with extremely damaged hair problems, but I am just sharing my honest review here. For my regular-dull-type hair, this shampoo works perfectly fine. 

Last but not the least,I do want to share something which the Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Shampoo doesn't even claim, but I find my hair breakage to be a bit less than before ever since I started using this. (May be that's due to the soothing effect it has on my dull hair, which would eventually prevent from breakage, I suppose....).

I have been suffering for cystic acne for quite some years now. Apart from taking care of my dietary choices, I have been extremely cautious with the makeup/skin care products I apply on my face. Recently, I found this holy grail of a product, of which I am sharing my honest review. 98% ingredients of Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion are from natural origin. This lotion is Vegan, it is formulated products without animal derivatives. The key ingredients include Salicylic acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice and Witch Hazel.

For a long time I had been looking for a skin care product with Salicylic acid and Witch Hazel combination. Both these ingredients are known for their antibacterial and purifying properties. Aloe leaf juice is known for its soothing effects. So when I was reading about this product, I found the ingredients quite attractive.

Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion comes in a 5 fl. oz. or 150 ml bottle. As you can see, I have been using it for 2 months now but very little quantity is consumed. So I think its safe to say that a little goes a long way.

The bottle is quite sturdy. Since it is not a glass bottle, hence no fear of breakage in case it is dropped. The cap is also quite secure. Thus no chances of leakage of liquid from the cap.

The bottle is recyclable, and made from recycled plastic; as claimed by the company. I think its a good environment friendly packaging.

The directions on the bottle say to apply it to a cleansed face twice a day with the help of a cotton pad. However, I pour about 2 drops in my palm and apply them to my face with fingers. Not gonna lie, but I feel instant freshness as I apply it on my face. May be its the fresh mild fragrance more than the actual feel of the product on the skin?! 😉

What I love about Yves Rocher Sebo Pure Vegetal Clarifying Lotion

Honestly, ever since I have started using this lotion, my skin feels calm. There is no redness which usually occurs on my cystic acne prone skin once I start using a new skin care product. I can actually feel my skin to be “less bumpy” than usual. (I think people suffering from cystic acne would understand what I am referring to!). Of course the previous scars are there on the skin, but there have been no new ones in the last 2 months. (touch wood) and I think that’s what a person with cystic acne would consider an early Christmas gift! 🙂

The product says that it reduces imperfections and soothes skin texture. I can already attest to its soothing claim. The bottle says that it will not dry your skin. This I also agree with, as the lotion has never dried my skin out even though I started using it during autumn.

I have not made any changes to my skin care regime as I started using this lotion. No other new products were introduced in the regime either. In the mornings, I wash my face, after that I apply this lotion. And then I go about applying the day cream and face powder like I always do in the mornings. At night, after double cleansing my face, I apply it and then apply my night cream.

Though I am not a medical practitioner nor any dietitian, I can still share my honest review that I find this product working for my skin. I know cystic acne can be caused by a lot factors such as diet, hormones, lack of sleep, etc; however, these factors are pretty much constant for me in the last 2 months. The only introduction to my lifestyle was this product and it has been working wonders for me. I understand it might not work like magic for every person with every skin type / skin problem, but I am just sharing my honest review here.

Today’s post is about the shortbread cookies which i tried for the first time yesterday. They were an instant hit in my home! So i thought to share the recipe with my readers. I love trying out new dessert recipes especially which require easily available ingredients and do not take much time for preparation! Lol talk about being a lazy person 😀

Okay so the actual recipe was taken from this blog ( https://inspiringsamar.wordpress.com/2010/11/15/shortbread-biscuits/ ). [thank you dear lady! 🙂 ] I made a few changes to the recipe though.

Let’s start with the ingredients:

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING SHORTBREAD COOKIES:

2 cups wheat flour (You can use all purpose flour as well)
1 Cup brown sugar (grinded)
1 cup ghee or melted butter (I used ghee)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder (or more…depends on your taste)
1/2 Teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg yolk (for brushing)

RECIPE:

I started with grinding the brown sugar. I added cardamom seeds (not the covers, of course 😀 ) in the blender along with sugar to make a fine powder. I swear by this grinder for super quick and fine grinding. Next i took a bowl and added the flour and baking soda after sifting. Then I added the castor sugar with cardamom powder. Mixed them gently and added ghee along with the vanilla essence and kneaded into a dough. The dough was very soft and a bit oily to touch. By this time i turned on my electric oven to preheat it at about 180 degrees. After this, I started making small balls with hands, flattened them and placed on a baking tray covered with aluminium foil. Slightly brushed the egg yolk on the cookie balls and baked them for 7-8 minutes at 180 °C.

They came out like this.

This recipe made about 27 shortbread cookies…They were soft and crunchy and just the way i expected them to be! 😉

Today I want to share with you an AHMAZING budget beauty product, which is not only pocket friendly (in case you dont like it, you wont regret spending money on it hehe) but also suitable for sensitive skin. Due to my skin being so problematic lately, I have been very very cautious in selecting anything that I apply on face. But Maryann Organics Collagen Cream has been my saviour! 

Maryann Organics Collagen Cream says its suitable for all skin types. I cant promise it will be very suitable for extra dry skin (esp. in winters) but you can always layer it up as it is very light and non-greasy. The texture is a really fluffy one, absorbs quickly and you enjoy a very muted fresh scent.

It comes in a 50 ml bottle which is quite sturdy, and you don’t have to fear it falls outta your hands 😉 

The quantity is pretty good for the price, and you need a pea size amount to cover the whole face. (those with dry skin might want to apply double the amount…). It keeps my oily skin moisturised for a good 5-6 hours.  It can be used in day time and you can apply it at night time as well. I have been using this for about a month now, morning and night, and I have still almost 80% of the amount left….

This is a very pocket friendly product. For my troubled skin, I would say its a greattttt product, as it not only leaves my skin feeling refreshed and smooth, but it also didn’t break me out (my biggest fear in trying out new products!). I think people with oily and combination skin will really enjoy using it.

So today when i was busy in doing my usual boring stuff, i suddenly remembered “oh…i used to have a blog”! So here i am sharing with you my cutest go to product these days: maybelline babylips lip balm-cherry me.

It comes in a pretty packaging with transparent lid which is quite secure and you can easily carry it in your makeup bag or pouch etc. (Like i do, daily). It has a moisturising effect on the lips which lasts for a good 2.5 to 3 hours on me – someone who lovvvvves to eat whatevvvver product is there on the lips haha so for that matter, im quite impressed by its staying power. However, a few days back, when i was the victim of extremely dry and chapped lips, i was not very impressed by its performance, but now when my lips are back to normal state i feel its working quite fine! I also love the fact that it gives a very pretty slight cherry tint to the lips which just enhances my natural lip color.

All in all its a very good product for its price. Also it goes a long way and only a little product is consumed. I have been using it for around 2-3 months now and you can see how much of the product is consumed/remains…

For around $2.5, you get 4.4g of the product. It can easily be found in any supermarket / makeup store stocking the maybelline products. If you wish to purchase online, you can buy this from Amazon. 

So if you are in search for a pocket friendly lip balm which not only moisturises your lips but gives a pretty mild Cherry tint too, I think I can safely recommend you this baby. 🙂

Hello everyone! today I am sharing a sweet fragrance that has captivated my senses like anything! Its 'Body Fantasies Signature Fragrance Body Spray, Pink Vanilla Kiss'.

Not only that I use it religiously every morning and evening after taking baths, but I spritz it on my pillow as well because I just am TRULY MADLY DEEPLY in love with this body spray!!

The fragrance is quite sweet and juicy and floral and fresh; all at the same time! It stays for a long time on my skin: approximately 12 hours. I have used this spray in summer as well as winter, therefore I can safely say that the longevity of its fragrance is quite remarkable in the hot and humid summers. Also, there are days when I’m extra lazy to wear an actual perfume, and I just spray it on my clothes as well, but here the staying time is a bit limited, like a maximum of 6 hours. Other than its superb staying power, the moisturizing feel when it is applied on the skin (as compared to other body sprays) is quite observable! I really like the fact that I don't feel that strong stingy feeling when I spritz it on my skin as compared to other normal body sprays….

You can easily find it on Amazon and as I am always telling my friends how much I love this baby, a few days back a friend of mine gifted me this along with some other flavors from this range. Next time, if you ever spot this baby on any shelf, just grab one for trying sake, I promise you won’t be disappointed! 😉
